Yes, it’s possible through Muve’s upgrade service, Lightspeed. To get the best chance of exchanging before Christmas, freehold transactions should be instructed by 30 October, while leasehold transactions and freehold properties with a management company should be instructed by 16 October.
While exchange and completion dates can still be affected by lenders, other conveyancers, agents, and several factors outside our control, we’ve enjoyed a 70% success rate in the past few years since we began offering this service.
Muve Lightspeed is an accelerated conveyancing service for buyers and sellers who have time-sensitive transactions. It offers priority handling, proactive case management, a named account manager, and a 24/7 online case tracking portal.
The Lightspeed service has an upgrade fee of £600 + VAT, in addition to the standard conveyancing fee.
This comes with a guarantee. If we don’t achieve exchange within your target week, we’ll reduce the Lightspeed fee by £100 for every additional week until the full upgrade fee is reached.*
Leasehold transactions and freehold properties involving a management company require additional information and coordination with another party. This could prolong the conveyancing process. This is why these cases have a 9-week target for exchange, compared to the 7-week target for freehold cases.
