Nationwide conveyancers, Muve, are to offering a conveyancing service that achieves exchange of contracts between buyer and seller within just five weeks.

The MuveFast service returns in a new format, having successfully focused in recent months on helping clients achieve the saving from the stamp duty holiday.

Muve says that the service will take just 25 working days for freehold properties and 40 days for leasehold properties.

David Jabbari, CEO of Muve, said: “We are incredibly proud of the work we were able to do throughout the Coronavirus pandemic. We helped over 90% of cases complete in time to save on stamp duty – a fantastic achievement for the team. MuveFast was an essential part of that success.

“Now, we’re looking to change our Fast product to better serve the needs of our clients today. We want to remove the stress and anxiety that can come from a slow conveyance, and the expectations of modern society are based more around instant results, rather than cumbersome processes and policies.”

MuveFast optimises the conveyancing process for speed. It is more resource-intensive to run a case this way, and that is why Muve charges a success-based fee for hitting the target timeline, but the client benefits from a quicker move, often saving them money on rent or property costs.

For example, the Fast service includes more regular chasing of the opposite party’s solicitors, the cause of major delays in the conveyancing process, and employs a search indemnity rather than a traditional search pack, typically saving several weeks.

There are guarantees in place too. While Muve’s proven record shows that they complete 90% of cases within the 25-day deadline, there are occasionally some delays that can’t be avoided. Here, Muve will deduct £100 from the fee for every week over the initial deadline date, meaning that clients aren’t losing out.

David Jabbari continues: “We proved the concept of MuveFast when we operated this service pre-pandemic. I truly believe that this is the future of conveyancing.”
